What is Medic?
Medic is a highly effective water conditioner used to de-pollute water in both marine and freshwater environments. It contains a reef-safe oxidizing agent and is particularly effective against: Marine Ich - Crytpocaryon irritans, Freshwater Ich - Ichthyophthirius, and Marine Velvet - Amyloodinium ocellatum.

How Medic Works:
Completely reef-safe, Bufferded to maintain physiological pH. Does not harm invertebrates and does not harm nitrifying bacteria. Many external fish parasites have very similar life cycles. In particular, these parasites have an "attached stage (trophonts), a "matured" stage (protomonts, a "reproductive" stage (tomonts), and a "free-swimming" stage (theronts/dinospores).
Most available Products do not target the free-swimming stage of the parasite which is one of the primarily difficulties in dealing with these problems. Research with dilated protozoans has shown that the "free-swimming" stage of parasites have remarkably consistent hatching times. Our conditioner targets the trophont stage of the parasite but is also disrupting the life cycle during the "free-swimming timeframe - when the oxidative component in the conditioner is particularly effective against theronts/dinospores.
Directions:
For in tank treatment: Use one level scoop of Medic for every 190L (50 Gallons) of your system volume twice per day For serious problems use (3) level scoop for every 190L (50 Gallons) of your system volume. Add once in the morning, and once in the evening. Continue to Add for 10 days up to a maximum of 20 days.
Note: Ozone and carbon must not be used during the treatment. Protein skimmers can be run as as normal. UV filter can be used one hour after dosing. The problem may seem to disappear when white specks are no longer visible on the fish. This is merely part of the natural cycle of the parasite and you must continue adding the product for the minimum entire course (10 days). Once complete, run granular activated carbon for 2 or 3 days.

100g reef - added new fish without QT stupidly and out came the ICK Regal tang and Gramma worse effected. Added medic within 24hrs of the outbreak. I dosed for 30 days (10 more than recommended) initially triple dosage as instructions state for bad outbreaks. It contolled the ick but did not cure...i then increased x6 basic dose ie 12 scoops per 100g. Now ick free 14 days after last treatment. Soft and LPS corals uneffected and zero fish or invert loss. I also medicated food with metroplex Anyone that says this does not kill crypto has either dosed too late into the outbreak or not been brave enough with dosage amount and dosage period. Good job polyp medic !!! Saved me breaking down a massive tank Now water changes and carbon time Have faith and trust this stuff 😀
Just into 10 days of treatment, got 10 more to go,but the results are amazing,just had one fish sick ,out of 12 fish and totally clear him up,but I will do 10 mores days to finish treatment
I had marine velvet for 5 days before I got this product I lost 4 fish but my sailfin tang survived and looks 10× better since I used polyp lab my corals are not dead and it took about 3 days so try to catch it as soon as possible
When I bought my blue hippo tang, she intriduced ich into my tank. I was terrified I would lose everything. I found medic online and combined use with metroplex and turned my temp up to 82 while dosing to speed up the process. I also ran my UV as instructed. After the 10 days it appears to be gone! My corals look a little sad but are getting better after a water change. Also only lost my emerald crabs. This is due to heat! Thanks!
Fixed my problem quickly without taking out all my creepy crawlers. Definitely worth the money!
I added several Tangs to my 180 that already had several tangs established. The tank been running for five years. Even though the lfs isolated in quarantine for five weeks under copper I had a small ick outbreak. Was on the lookout for it since I had some fish that are ick magnets. I started the Medic treatment. Within a few days no more spots. Continued treatment for 14 days and ick free with no losses of fish.
I tried Paraguard first, and the ich didn't get worse, but it didn't get better. My powder blue tang was taking the brunt of the infestation and my reef would pay a price trying to get those fish out. So, with good all around parameters and stable heat, I gave this a shot. Following the dosing quantities and dosing before 10:00 AM and after 10:00 PM, I'm at day 12 and I no longer see any parasites on any fish! Powder blue is healthy and eating everything now, healing up with the cleaner wrasse no longer chasing him for skin snacks, and I didn't lose one coral nor anenome. Seriously! I'm going to continue for 8 more days and then compete a small water change and bring in the carbon. So far, this is looking like a game changer for reef tanks. Well done! I run a mixed reef with SPS, LPS, sensitive euphyllia, lots of invertebrates, and 3 anenome.
I had been fighting ick for 7 weeks. I tried several different things. After reading about PolypLab Medic I ordered it, figured I would give it a try. Within 5 days I saw improvement on my blue tang. Almost at the 10 days straight and no sign of ick since I started treatment with medic.
Noticed my flame angel had some spots. Quickly ordered the medic ! It came quickly easy mess free application. Dosed the tank as advised spots went away quickly ! Worked better than advertised !
I noticed that one of my angel fish seemed to have ich. I have no clue where it came from because I have not added any fish at all for over a year. I quarantined the fish and treated it successfully. While doing this, I needed something to treat the tank as well. I have lobsters and a prized mantis shrimp as well as many other inverts. I used medic for the tank. I followed the instructions, dosing the tank at 11:30pm and again at 5:30am. I used the maximum dose of 3 scoops for my 55gal. I did this for 28 days. I'm very happy with the results. It has been 9 days since the last dose and none of my other fish have shown any symptoms at all. Medic seems to have saved me from having to quarantine all of my fish for many weeks while the ich dies off in the tank. Follow the instructions carefully and Medic can help you too.
We are on day 13 on our 100 gallon mixed reef. Our ich magnet broke out with ich and Medic was recommended. Everyone is doing great! Customer service is top notch!
Had an ich outbreak in DT, too many fish to catch. Both purple tangs were covered, scopas was covered, everybody else was looking bad too, good thing was they still had great appetites. Started dosing medic, you have to be religiously treating, after lights go out and before lights come on, I'm doing at 9pm, 8am. 3 scoops per 50gal (we have a 250gal, so X's 5, 15 scoops, I basically fill the cap of the bottle). I mix with about half cup of water until dissolved and pour into the wave makers and into the sump. We also have UV, that needs to be turned off before dose and left off for a couple hours. Long story, it works. All the fish look great and all our frog spawn, hammers, toads, mushrooms, acaans, blasto, leathers are un affected. People have mixed feelings, I think you need to just be diligent. We do 25% water change every 2 weeks, change out socks weekly. We will continue to use this product.
The blue tang was covered with dust of ich prior to treatment. Took about 10 days until it cleared. All corals sps, lps and soft are safe from treatment. Dose was doubled, 2 spoons/50G.

Just in few days was clear without ick
I lost 80% of my 220 gallon tank a year ago due to a fish that was supposed to have been quarantined before purchase. Ick took out many of my fish. As told by many, you must remove All fish and let the tank sit empty for 45-60 days for the Ick to die off. Due to our structure, 2 fish were impossible to remove. They show no signs but we knew they still could be carriers. After treating the remaining fish, they were introduced after 60 days. All seem well until the Ick reappeared. I found Reef Medic and figured I had nothing to lose. The first treatment seemed to knock it down but a month later it came back. I tried again with a stronger dose, about the same results. The third time I hit it pretty hard and BOOM. The fish look great, colors came back and no sign of the Ick. All corals are doing great so there was no effect on them. I am really happy to have a healthy tank again.
I had an ich outbreak that took my koran angel and porcupine puffer, that was the only fish i had our 125. Pretty sure i got it from some water out of a bag of crabs that got into the tank. I left my tank empty for 76 days. I just put a SailFin and a Sweetlips into the tank. Knowing that tangs are the worse for getting ich, I got a bottle of Poly Meds that was on the shelf. The store owner had told me he used it with great luck in one of his frag tanks with his tangs and no damage to fish or his thousands of dollars worth of corals. 2nd day i had the fish i saw a couple of spots.. Called and he said they was clean when he got them but to be safe he had been treating his tanks. Started dosing that morning, today is the 2nd day of dosing and already all spots are gone. Going to treat the whole 20 days to be safe. Also have ordered me a UV light since it seems most comments on here the people that have had the best luck with it have them... Will update when treatment is done.
Medic twice a day combined with a UV sterilizer (off for an hour during dosing medic) I have a 100% survival rate against ick.
Works well in my system, I wish the bottle was bigger.
Best product I have tried to date....you can see the fizzing action taking out the flagellates.
After dosing for only 24 hours I saw a significant improvement in my fish. This product is legit!
Medic seems to be helping my marine velvet outbreak in my reef tank. Prior to dosing $650 worth of beautiful fish died but this seems to be helping my last 3 fish. Never get a powder blue tang even with quarantine it is not a fish for an aquarium and should be left in the wild.
Its only been 4days since I started treatment. It looks like its working because there is no longer any visible signs of parasites. The fish are eating well and have stopped scratching. It has not hurt corals in any way. Looks good so far
I have used this product twice and it has definitely worked for me on my reef aquarium, didn’t have any adverse effects.
Not really effective against the ich problem after 10 days of strictly following the instructions according my needs. Not COMPLETELY reef safe! It bleached my anemone and zoanthids. Reef safe for invertebrates and corals with skeleton but not on softies and anemone.
This seemed to knock of some of the ICH on my trigger. But 16 days into dosing and it seems to be coming back.... Did not harm corals though.
I am not sure it did anything at all, heavy infection of ICK on most fish, treatment for approx. 2 weeks, lost 40 % of the fish !!! Not sure the medication did anything at all ????
I have used Medic for several years when my tank had Ich. Excellents product. Now I try to keep new fish in nursery tank with copper 1 month to kill parasite .
Dory is invincible now.
The fish are doing fine again. There color has come back........ So great full.......
The Polyplab Medic works wonders. I followed the instructions to a T. Never bothered and Corals or Inverts in my tank. All fish are doing great. its been 16 days since I have used the product and everything is looking great. Will use this product again and recommend to others.

The only product I would use in a reef system
The key to this product is catch the symptoms early. If you hesitate using this product even a few days. Something with perish and other people blame this product that it doesn’t work. That’s simply not true. Use the product without hesitation. If you think there is a problem there probably is. I have used this product three times in 18 months and it worked every time. No problem. Run the full ten days before and after the lights go out and just keep using it and things will be fine. Never lost an SPS coral because of it. 180 gallon SPS dominant Crosshatch trigger Zebra Tang Joculator Angel Gem Tang This works. Use it and be patient.
I noticed 2 single white spots on my tang . And immediately ran to LFS and was reccomeded this product . After 20 days of intensive (full dosing) treatment I have seen no improvement at all . In fact the opposite . I used YouTube to find out more about the product as information is limited online . I had heard about people having great success and thought nothing of the hefty £35 I invested into protecting my livestock by buying ' the reef safe option . Firstly my yellow longhorn cowfish perished due to being overwhelmed by ick . Then 2 days later (today) my mimic tang has suffered the same fate . I will be adding carbon back into the tank to remove whatever it is I have placed in (polyp lab) and will be using hyposalinity or copper to treat the remaining fish (fuzzy dwarf lionfish, Volitans lionfish & cleaner wrasse) Overall I feel like I have wasted my time and earnings on a product that is simply un-reliable .
So far medic as been great.Yellow tang had it the worse and I'm only on 4th day and most all of it is now gone.Finally a reef safe product that actually works can't wait to see the results after the 10 day cycle.
Im that kind of guy who strongly believes in no reef safe medication for reef, and for my surprise this product has worked wonders , did not experience any loss what so ever in corals and fishes are happier than ever. I dosed everyday between 10pm-12am 1 scoop for every 50 gallons, in my case 10 scoops for 500g. Then shut UV , then redosed another 10 scoops at 6am and turned on UV at 9am ....did this for 20 days and went thru 2 bottles ....it's been 28days and haven't seen no spots whatsoever ,, thank you polylab.
